Training Overview
Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is a gas that can be created by natural biological processes or by human activity and poses a serious threat to people or assets because of its extremely toxic and corrosive properties. The risk of H2S exposure exists in many industries, including, but not limited to oil and gas, construction, and mining. In workplaces where the possibility of H2S exposure exists, ALL workers should have H2S Awareness training. This H2S awareness course explains the properties of H2S, identifies control measures and provides recommendations of what to do in the event of exposure.
